Hello Second Graders! My name is Dominique Labovitz! I graduated from Holy Family with a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education. I am currently obtaining my Master's Degree in Educational Psychology. This is my 6th year teaching, 5 of those years being at St. Jerome. I have taught PreK 3, PreK 4 and 2nd Grade. I truly believe in the importance of Catholic Education. I am a proud Catholic School Alum from Our Lady of Consolation, Saint Hubert's and Holy Family. The Catholic identity, respect and overall compassion of Catholic Schools and educators is something that has shaped me into the teacher I am today! St. Jerome is a great Northeast Philadelphia school with wonderful school community.
Welcome to Second Grade! It is a big year in Religion because we will make our First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. In Math, we will continue to practice our addition and subtraction facts, learn place value, and time and money! We have a large emphasis on reading stories together as a class, practicing one specific skill that accompanies the story. We are also all scientists in Second Grade, exploring the world around us. I can't wait to have an amazing year learning with all of you!
